Trey “Da Meat Mane” Barber first gained attention on social media as the face of Choctaw Provision Co., showcasing weekly specials and highlighting the quality meats and products available at the shop. What started as a simple way to let the good people of North Baton Rouge know what was coming through the doors quickly took off. Trey’s personality and humor resonated with viewers, and his following rapidly grew.

Soon, people weren’t just watching—they were showing up. Customers began coming in from all over to see what Da Meat Mane was cooking up, turning Choctaw into more than just a wholesale supplier. What had traditionally been a commercial food service business quickly grew into a busy spot for walk-up customers, hungry families, backyard cooks, and small caterers.

That momentum led to the launch of The Meat Locker Podcast, where Da Meat Mane, Da Meat Slanga, Da Boss Man, and Zac get together for real conversations about sports, music, community, sometimes a little politics—and of course plenty of talk about meat. The show brings the same energy and personality that built the Choctaw following, connecting with listeners and customers from all over.
